Different hair types

Hello dear princesses!

Again and again we are asked if our hair oil is suitable for a certain hair type. First of all, our hair oil can be applied to all existing hair types. It does not stick to the hair surface, but penetrates into the hair and nourishes it from the inside. Therefore everyone can use it without hesitation ?

Now we have found out something that we ourselves were not familiar with: You can use a code to specify your hair type. We thought that was very interesting and there is nothing about the puzzled looks of the girlfriends, if you can say “My hair is 2aM7 or 2aii.” ? That’s the case, at least for me.

In addition, it is of course very helpful to know which hair types you belong to so that you can maintain it optimally. So let’s go ?

The first step: determine the hair structure

There are different theories here, but most of all the theory of hair typing after Andre Walker is used. He distributes his own hair products and is also the hairstylist of Oprah Winfrey.

He roughly divides women into four types:

  1. Straight Hair
  2. Wavy Hair (“Wavy Hair”)
  3. Curly Hair (“Curly Hair”)
  4. Frizzy Hair (“Kinky Hair”)

Within these four superordinate types one then differentiates between the gradations, which are designated by the letters a to c. But see for yourself on this graphic:

Here we have put together a brief description of the individual gradations for you to facilitate the assignment:

1a: Absolutely straight, straight hair without any movement.

1b: Straight hair, but with more stance. The tips of the hair turn a little bit.

1c: Straight hair with one or two isolated waves and more movement in the temples and neck hairs.

2a: Slightly wavy hair, but the waves are loose and stretched.

2b: Narrower waves, such as those created when you have worn a plaited plait.

2c: Clear waves with scattered curls. It looks much more voluminous.

3a: Spiral curls.

3b: Corkscrew curls.

4a: Extremely narrow corkscrew curls.

4b: Frizzy, extremely voluminous hair. There are no single curls more recognizable.

This then gives the first part of your hair type ?

Long and healthy hair – a dream of many women. Many bloggers who try to create such a head of hair, based on their coded hair type.

The second step: determine the thickness of the individual hair

The thickness of the individual hair is divided into 3 categories:

F- fine => fine, thin hair

Very fine hair, which individually hardly stands out from the ground on which it lies. If you turn it between your fingers, you hardly feel it and it feels like a thin silk thread.

M medium => medium thick hair

Medium-thick hair that feels like a cotton thread when turning between fingers.

C coarse => coarse, thick hair

Thick hair that can look a bit rough. Even single hairs are clearly visible on the ground on which they lie. Turning the hair creates resistance and it can feel wiry.

A ponytail is not only a super-practical hairstyle for the sport, but also helps you to learn more about the total volume of your hair.

The third step: determine the total volume

The easiest way to determine the total volume of the hair through the ponytail. So just do the hair to ponytail and measure its circumference. The value you receive is simply attached to the back of your hair type code ?

Thin (or name i)

The pigtail circumference is less than 5 centimeters.

Means (or designation ii)

The pigtail circumference is between 5 and 10 centimeters.

Dick (or name iii)

The pigtail circumference is greater than 10 centimeters.

And you already have your own hair-type code that tells you what your hair is like and can help you find the right hair care routine.

Greetings to all princesses,
